THE PIONEERS OF EXTINCTION

With the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the design of that period faded into obscurity.

Unlike the contemporary era of product overload and competitive inwardness, Soviet architects of that era could create the purest designs in imagination and utility. With the demolition and abandonment of a large number of brutalist buildings, the architectural design of the period became an almost forgotten, yet insurmountable peak.

It was a sad and heartbreaking time for the architects of the period, who lost out not to design, but to politics and discourse. The project tells the story of Soviet architect Georgi, delving into themes of history, memory and identity through a fictionalized narrative.

Will a good design always be remembered? No. When the narrator is gone, even great design is forgotten.
